Changing Church Forum is dedicated to growing discipleship communities. An outreach of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Minnesota, Changing Church offers seminars, webinars (web-based seminars), workshops and coaching for leaders moving their church from membership to discipleship, from maintenance to mission. David Stark leads the Forum and works with Mike Foss as a speaker, workshop leader and author to renew the centrist church. Their Power Surge Forum teaches how a commitment to discipleship can unleash the power of the Holy Spirit to transform and grow the community.

I attended a Power Surge Workshop in Minneapolis, and the Academy helped bring one to Atlanta in 2004. Mike Foss and the Prince of Peace team draw a stark contrast between the typical membership-focused congregation, and the call to discipleship demonstrated in the early church.
Mike is one of the best speakers I've seen in the church. He makes a point, and then makes the point compelling by an illustration from the lives of people he's met.
